Terms of Service.

Odyn is provided by New Genre Studio(“we”, “us”), a business based in the United Kingdom. By downloading, installing, or using the Odyn desktop app or website, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Odyn.

If you’re using Odyn on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for that company, and “you” means that company.

You need an account to use Odyn, created by signing in with GitHub. You must be at least 16 years old, give accurate information, and keep your sign-in secure. You’re responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.

Access is currently invitation- and waitlist-based. We may decide who gets access, and we may change that at any time.

Odyn is a desktop app that runs AI coding agents on your computer, against your own code, using your own accounts with AI providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI, and Cursor. Two consequences follow, and they matter:

• We are not the AI provider. Your prompts and code go directly from your machine to whichever provider you selected, under your agreement with them. Their terms and usage limits apply, and we have no control over what they output, retain, or charge.
• Agents act on your machine. Odyn lets AI agents read, write, and delete files, run shell commands, make git commits, open pull requests, and — via the addons you install — act inside connected services such as GitHub, Linear, Slack, Stripe, or your hosting provider. These actions are real, sometimes irreversible, and taken on your authority.

This is the most important section. AI agents make mistakes. They can misread intent, delete work, run destructive commands, publish something prematurely, or change data in a service you connected. Odyn provides safeguards — isolated git worktrees, a plan mode that holds writes back until you approve them, and read-only tool lists for connected services — but no safeguard is perfect.

You are responsible for reviewing what an agent does before you rely on it. Keep backups, use version control, be careful about which addons you install and which accounts you connect, and prefer test or development accounts over live production ones where a mistake would be costly.

You agree not to use Odyn to:

• Break the law, or infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy.
• Access systems, repositories, or accounts you don’t have permission to access.
• Create malware, run attacks, or attempt to disrupt Odyn, our backend, or our providers.
• Reverse engineer, resell, or rebrand Odyn, or circumvent access controls and usage limits.
• Breach the terms of any AI provider or connected service you use through Odyn.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, and we may do so immediately where there is a risk to other people or to the service.

Your code and content remain yours.We claim no ownership over anything you write, or anything an agent produces for you inside your projects. We don’t upload your code, and we don’t train on it.

For team features, you give us the limited permission needed to store and sync the shared parts of a project to your teammates — nothing more. If you upload something to a team, you confirm you’re allowed to share it with them.

AI-generated output may be similar to output given to other people, and may not be protectable by copyright. Check it for correctness, licensing, and suitability before you ship it.

Odyn, its name, logo, design, and software are ours or our licensors’. Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Odyn. Nothing here transfers ownership to you.

Odyn connects to services we don’t operate. Your use of those services is governed by their terms, and any fees, credits, or usage limits they charge are between you and them. Running an AI agent, generating media, or deploying infrastructure through a connected service can cost real money on your account. We are not responsible for those services being available, correct, or free.

Odyn is early software under active development. Features may change, break, or be removed. Experimental features are labelled as such and may behave unpredictably. We may modify or discontinue any part of the service, and we’ll give reasonable notice where we can.

Odyn is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or suitable for your purposes.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or data — including data or work lost or damaged by an AI agent’s actions, or costs incurred with a third-party provider.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from Odyn is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you’re a consumer, you keep your statutory rights.

If you use Odyn in the course of a business, you agree to cover us against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your use of Odyn, your content, or your breach of these terms.

You can stop using Odyn and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, or if we discontinue the service. On termination, your licence to use Odyn ends; anything stored only on your own computer stays there. Sections that by their nature should survive — ownership, disclaimers, liability, and governing law — continue to apply.

We may update these terms as Odyn develops. The date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we’ll give notice in the app or by email; continuing to use Odyn afterwards means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction — except that consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of their own country of residence.
